### A finished game, before you sign in - When you have no games of your own, the landing page offers Morphy's Opera Game. It opens on a real analysis of that game, write-up included, with no account. - There is a short public introduction at /overview: the same game, and a walk through the review. ### Scouting a player - A scout run now has its own address. You can leave and come back, and the back button returns to the report. If the run has expired, the page offers to scout the same player again. - You can compare two accounts. The report names a difference only when it is large enough to matter, including tactical shapes one player misses and the other does not. ### Reviewing one game - Each move the summary write-up names is a link to that point in the game. - Coming back to a finished summary no longer flashes "Analyzing your game…". - The write-up is remembered for that game, so opening it again does not ask the model a second time. - A Mistakes list shows every graded error in the order it was played, what it cost, and the move the engine preferred. - When the PGN carries ratings, they sit beside the players' names. - On a single game, a phase is judged once you have five moves in it. A scout across many games still waits for a longer sample, so one short game is not treated as a habit. ### The board - You can make a move from the keyboard, and a screen reader hears the move and whose turn it is. Dragging a piece still works. - Coordinates can be turned on from the menu. They stay off until you ask. - Engine lines and the evaluation graph stay with the board. Their hide switches are gone. - On a phone, the drawer tabs use short names, so more than one panel is on screen without scrolling sideways. ### Your recent games - Signed out, a recent game is titled with both players. It no longer reads as though you were the one who played it. ### The installed app - New icon, favicon, and offline page, in the same amber as the app. - An installed copy takes the theme color of the palette you picked. ### Fixes - Stepping through a game this server no longer has is reported as missing, instead of failing when you press next.

### Housekeeping - Removed the unfinished "drill your mistakes" practice mode. Its button was already gone from scout reports; this clears out the machinery behind it, along with the engine-output suppression that only existed to hide answers during a drill. - Internal cleanup with no change to how the app behaves: one fewer dependency, a dead handler and an unused developer tool deleted, and the page shell now takes a single view struct instead of twenty-seven positional arguments.

### A new look - The whole app has been redesigned: a calmer, flatter palette, tighter corners, a real typeface (Instrument Sans, with JetBrains Mono for moves and FENs), and none of the decorative gradient haze that used to sit behind the page. - **You can now pick your theme.** Four palettes — Amber, Slate, Forest and Noir — from the swatches at the top of the ⋮ menu. Your choice is remembered, and it switches instantly without reloading the game you're looking at. - The board changes with the theme. Each palette brings its own squares, its own last-move highlight and its own best-move arrow, all picked so the arrow and the highlight stay legible on light and dark squares alike. - Numbers no longer jitter as they stream in — evals, accuracies and clock times are set in aligned figures. - Scrollable panels (the move list, the game pickers) no longer fade their top and bottom rows out. ### Game summary screen - A finished analysis now opens on a summary of the game instead of dropping you straight onto the board: the result, your accuracy against your opponent's, your grade tallies, the "at a glance" charts from the scout report, and an AI recap of how the game actually went. **Review the moves** takes you to the board when you're ready. - The recap reads the game itself, not just its statistics, so a game won by a rook sacrifice reads like one. It can quote the moves that were actually played and name what the engine would have preferred. - Sound sacrifices are annotated as such. They earn no grade — a good sacrifice barely moves the evaluation — so they used to pass unmentioned. - The screen is skipped where it would be wrong: a drill position, or a share or "See it happen" link that points at one specific move. ### AI - Commentary, chat, scouting and the new recap now run on Claude Sonnet 5. The self-hosted local engine is still available from the settings menu. ### Fixes - "This shared game is no longer available" no longer follows you through the rest of the session — it clears when you load a game, and it can be dismissed.

### Scouting a player - Profile reports now open with an "at a glance" strip — accuracy by phase, the tactical/positional mix of your mistakes, and where the points went — drawn from the same numbers the write-up below it is arguing from, so the two can never disagree. - Fixed phase accuracy on profile reports: it was averaged across every analyzed game instead of only the games that actually reached that phase, which understated the endgame for players whose games often end early. ### Analysis - The move list marks a position where the engine found no real alternative — nothing else held, so the played move gets no credit or blame for being "the only move." ### Interface - The header collapses onto phones better: What's New, GitHub, and the account menu now live behind one menu button instead of competing with Scout and Load game for space. - "Your recent games" shows a loading indicator instead of a blank gap while it fetches from Lichess/Chess.com. - Fixed a mobile layout bug where a long opponent name or opening line could push the landing page's cards past the edge of the screen instead of truncating inside them.
